The Role

The Senior Human Resources Manager will support all aspects of the HR function within the organization, including corporate and sites, to ensure strategies, processes and policies support the organization’s overall goals and objectives.  The focus will be on talent acquisition and management, labour and employee relations and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.  Experience in both the Canadian and US spaces is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the organization’s business objectives
  • Oversee the performance management programs and establish links to succession planning
  • Develop and implement process reviews and updates to ensure continuous improvement and compliance
  • Support the assessment of the learning and development programs to ensure the organization has access to the talent it needs to continue to grow
  • Labour relations, including bargaining
  • Ensure policies and procedures result in organizational compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Involvement in the employee engagement survey and initiatives to support continued positive work environment
  • Staying up to date with changes in labor laws and regulations and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.

Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.

Primary Qualifications

You have at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree (HR / business / or related field) and at least 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a management role. Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a solid understanding of employment law and HR practices.   Experience in both the Canadian and US spaces is preferred,

  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, bring options and provide recommendation

Primary Work Location: Hybrid / Remote
