THE ROLE       

As the Senior Manager of IT Architecture & Cybersecurity, your responsibilities will include ensuring the design, development, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure. Your role will be to manage technical resources, ensuring that the IT infrastructure aligns with the company's business goals and objectives. This role will ensure the delivery of technical solutions with minimal impact on end-users and further support our goal of technology and optimizing the experience for our team. This roles responsibility includes Management and lead architecture to deliver an optimized productive and secure IT infrastructure (Desktop/laptop hardware configuration, OS platform upgrades, productivity software solutions, end-user management, client software deployment, antivirus systems, and imaging design and engineering.)

 

In addition, this role will entail establishing a comprehensive cybersecurity posture that ensures the protection of the company's assets while promoting business innovation and growth. To effectively protect against cyber risks, it is crucial to stay updated on emerging threats and technologies, allowing them to adjust security strategies and maintain a proactive approach. Responsibilities include conducting annual intrusion detection, implementing IT cybersecurity policies, providing company training, executing cyber campaigns, and establishing a business continuity framework through tabletop exercises to ensure minimal risks to the organization. 

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

General

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organizations IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, servers, and other technology systems. 
  • Develop and implement IT architecture strategies that support the organization's overall business strategy. Collaborate with senior management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Lead IT resources, providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure the successful execution of projects. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Design scalable, reliable, and secure IT systems that meet current and future business needs. Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Provide technical oversight and review of architecture designs, ensuring compliance with industry best.
  • Manage IT projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, department heads, and IT teams, to gather requirements, gain consensus, and communicate IT architecture plans and initiatives.
  • Evaluate and select third-party vendors and technology partners to support IT architecture initiatives. Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize IT architecture processes, tools, and methodologies. Monitor industry trends and best practices to stay abreast of developments in IT architecture.

Cybersecurity 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging cyber threats and technologies to ensure proactive security measures are in place.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate cybersecurity into overall risk management processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • Manage security tools and technologies, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans to minimize the impact of security breaches.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and relevant authorities during crisis situations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position may be assigned.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT roles with increasingly progressive responsibility for applications, systems and infrastructure development, preferably in a decentralized, highly regulated global environment such as an airline operator.
  • Excellent partnering and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead through influence and have proven project management expertise.
  • Experience with data warehouse solutions, business intelligence technologies and tools, and analytics design is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast paced environment.
  • 5+ years of management experience leading development teams
  • 3+ years of vendor management experience
  • Experience with Microsoft development tools, also Office365 and SharePoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate both technically and non-technically.
  • Airline or Airport experience, including CUTE system, Sabre CSS, Sabre AirCentre, Sabre AirVision, Sabre web services preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required; MBA or similar is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 USD.
